Meet Vanessa

It all started with an idea...

Vanessa Thomas grew up suffering from oily skin, dermatitis, hyperpigmentation, acne, and many other skin issues. Since puberty, she has faced unhealthy skin. She tried a multitude of products and nothing seemed to work. After lots of frustration, she decided to dive deeper. She kept asking herself, where is this coming from?

Was it autoimmune? Did it have anything to do with the environment? Maybe it was an allergy? She was seeking answers to her frustration for a long time. 

She later attended University and received an advanced master’s degree in Cosmetic Science and she knew she had found something that was meaningful and fulfilling to her. With over a decade of formulating experience that encompasses brand, generic, over the counter (OTC) and cosmetic products she understands the process. She fully understands product development from product concept to scale-up manufacturing. She has worked with a number of leading brands and contract manufacturers to formulate hundreds of products in the skincare sector.

As the years went on, she started facing pre-menopausal issues... psoriasis, eczema, extremely dry and cracked skin, hormonal facial dermatitis, back acne, and hyperpigmentation.

Finally, it was time for change, and Diskinfect was born. She realized the solution to all of her skincare problems was found in attacking the germ, rather than the skin concern. She discovered that it wasn't the products she was using or her skin type. It was actually the germs in the environment and exposure to pollution that were the root of all her skin issues.

Vanessa suffered for too long and now the solution is also here for you. Vanessa has successfully created a skincare brand that is effective, transparent, clean, eco-friendly, and most importantly, trustworthy. Her mission? To improve the health of your skin.

Thomas' hard work and efforts are well known in the southeast region of the United States and she is an active participant in the Florida chapter of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists.
